Zojila Tunnel Breakthrough 2026 Kashmir–Ladakh connectivity के लिए एक historic milestone बनने जा रहा है। यह project India के सबसे challenging infrastructure projects में से एक माना जाता है।।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, all-weather connectivity project के तहत बन रहा यह tunnel अब completion के बेहद करीब है और दोनों ends को जोड़ने का final breakthrough इसी महीने expected है।
इस historic event में Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari के शामिल होने की संभावना है। यह ceremony Zojila Pass के नीचे वर्षों की कठिन excavation work के बाद tunnel के दोनों सिरों के मिलने का symbol होगा।
Zojila Tunnel Breakthrough 2026 और Mega Construction Update
Project officials के अनुसार, अब सिर्फ लगभग 210 metres excavation बाकी है। जैसे ही यह work पूरा होगा, 13.15-km long Zojila Tunnel का breakthrough हो जाएगा।
यह tunnel करीब ₹4,500 crore की लागत से बन रहा है और पूरा होने के बाद यह Asia’s longest bi-directional road tunnel बनने जा रहा है।
Kashmir–Ladakh Connectivity का Game Changer Project
Zojila Pass हर साल भारी snowfall की वजह से लगभग 5–6 months तक बंद रहता है, जिससे Kashmir और Ladakh का संपर्क टूट जाता है।
इस tunnel के बनने से:
- year-round connectivity सुनिश्चित होगी
- transport और logistics आसान होंगे
- tourism को बड़ा boost मिलेगा
- emergency services 24×7 available होंगी
Economy, Tourism और Security को मिलेगा बड़ा Boost
Officials का कहना है कि यह tunnel सिर्फ travel सुविधा नहीं बढ़ाएगा, बल्कि:
- local economy को strong करेगा
- tourism industry को नई पहचान देगा
- border areas में supply chain को smooth बनाएगा
- defense movement को भी fast करेगा
यह project strategic importance भी रखता है क्योंकि यह border regions तक troops और equipment की faster movement सुनिश्चित करेगा।
Zojila Tunnel Project से Tourism और Economy पर Impact
इस mega project को Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited द्वारा execute किया जा रहा है।
- 1,400+ workers involved
- लगभग 79% workforce local areas से
- 400+ machines round-the-clock deployed
Extreme conditions (-35°C to -45°C winter temperature), water ingress और difficult geology के बावजूद engineers ने New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) जैसी advanced techniques से work जारी रखा।
Project Timeline और Future Vision
हालांकि breakthrough इसी महीने expected है, लेकिन पूरा project अब February 2028 तक complete होने की उम्मीद है (पहले September 2026 target था)।
