SMC Ground Review: Srinagar के Commercial Assets से Revenue बढ़ाने पर Commissioner का फोकस
Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) के Commissioner एवं CEO, Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) Faz Lul Haseeb ने आज शहर के प्रमुख municipal assets और चल रहे Smart City works का on-site inspection किया। इस review का मुख्य उद्देश्य asset utilisation के जरिए municipal revenue को मजबूत करना रहा।
निरीक्षण के दौरान उनके साथ Joint Commissioner Suhail Ul Islam, Chief Revenue Officer और SMC के अन्य senior officers मौजूद रहे।
Hari Singh High Street पर Commercial Complex की समीक्षा
Inspection की शुरुआत SMC Commercial Complex, Hari Singh High Street से हुई। यहां Commissioner ने shopkeepers की concerns सुनीं और façade renovation व parking facilities restoration से जुड़े proposals का जायज़ा लिया।
उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि better functionality, improved aesthetics और effective traffic management सुनिश्चित की जाए, ताकि footfall और commercial activity बढ़ सके।
Vacant Shops की जल्द Auction का आदेश
Complex में मौजूद vacant shops की स्थिति की समीक्षा करते हुए Commissioner ने transparent, competitive और time-bound auction process शुरू करने के सख्त निर्देश दिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि municipal properties का efficient monetisation ही financial self-reliance और sustainable revenue generation की कुंजी है।
Jhelum Riverfront पर Underground Cabling Works
इसके बाद Commissioner ने Chief Engineer, SSCL के साथ Jhelum Riverfront पर चल रहे underground cabling project का निरीक्षण किया।
उन्होंने executing agencies को manpower और resources तुरंत बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए ताकि project time पर complete हो सके।
उन्होंने कहा कि Jhelum Riverfront एक high-value urban asset है, जिसका विकास tourism, business और economic growth को नई दिशा देगा।
Gonikhan Market में Infrastructure Upgrade
Inspection tour के दौरान Gonikhan Market में चल रहे underground ducting और infrastructure upgradation works की भी समीक्षा की गई।
Commissioner ने strict timelines पर ज़ोर देते हुए कहा कि काम के दौरान traders और public को minimum inconvenience होनी चाहिए।
Revenue Growth & Citizen-Centric Development
Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb ने दोहराया कि revenue strengthening, fast project execution और transparent governance — ये SMC और SSCL की urban governance strategy के मुख्य pillars हैं, जिनका ultimate goal है better services और citizen-centric development।
